We normally ask that the battery be removed and not sent (we do normally need the original AC adapter sent with your name attached to it.
we do not need the hard drive unless a software specific repair, thus you can remove before shipping. Bags and CDs and manuals should not be mailed.

For LCD backlight repair and refit we only need the LCD panel or Housing and the inverter PCB. To mail LCD only: bubble wrap the LCD panel in a box larger than LCD by 4" minimum air gap all round.
