number. You may need to call the laptop's manufacturer for this information. Finding
laptop displays is even more difficult. Many laptops have the same model number, but may
use 3 or 4 different screens. We need to know the actual part number to search for a

remove the laptop's display to locate the part numbers on the back, we recommend shipping
us the laptop. The normal charge for removing a laptop display and searching for a

We can replace your LCD cold cathode florescent lamp (backlight)
for you, some times the glass tube becomes so hot the ends, become brittle and
crack/shatter inside the LCD normally lower edge area of laptop panels. We can normally repair and fix all problems including:

gap and will eventually ruin transformer or electronics on PCB.

See why a CCFL can fail 17 When turning the laptop on, the display
lights for a moment then goes dark. Looking close I can still barely make out a
desktop. If I press the little "latch switch" that the screen frame hits when it
closes then let that pin go again, the screen will light and then go out again. Just like
on boot. When it lights, the brightness and color look good.
Answer its the CCFL inside the panel that is worn out the inverter is turning
itself off to protect its electronics on the PCB since the load/impedance from the lamp is
wrong for it to function, just like your TV set when it is clicking the switch/mode power
supply is noticing a problem and going into self protect mode. Your laptop really needs to
be inspected to find out what parts are needing replacing before you spend money on the
inverter PCB. If your LCD is dark dim faint or red tint or orange tint effect goto this address for help.

Before sending your LCD in for repair, check
your Laptop is worth repairing, by connecting an external monitor and hitting Fn +
internal external display key, (normally one of the F keys, remember to hold down Fn and
the F key at the same time) this process will check the video, is sending an analog signal
out to the external monitor which lets you know the system board is ok. Also check
presence of FAINT digital data on blank displays. Example: when backlight is out or faint
digital data is showing. If not present you may have a bad digital signal cable or digital
video chip on the system board or maybe the LCD itself is just bad. Yes we can replace bad
LCD Driver LVDS ICs located inside the LCD electronics.
