If your LCD powers up with a red tint or a orange tint or a pink hue, then you will need a new Backlight fitted into the LCD panel and tested with the right electronic equipment if it powers up flashes or flickers then goes off and blank replacing the inverter with a new one will not change the fact that the lamp is not the correct load anymore for the inverter PCB thus just because your LCD powers on then goes blank or flickers then goes off in our experience is a bad Backlight or sometimes less often is a bad inverter transformers secondary winding. The inverter is built in with a small controller IC sensing the lamps impedance feedback volts and load any wrong effect will simply place the inverter powering your Backlight into self protect mode or simply put will turn itself off. Remember to place new end caps on the glass
ends of the new CCFL or you may get hissing or interference on the Thin film transistors that sit in each squarepixel on the surface of
the glass LCD panel.
